The Story Dome is a fully immersive 360° storytelling experience for children (and their grown ups).
Inside this magical, portable dome, live storytelling and projected animation combine to create unforgettable shows full of heart, imagination, and joy.
All the heart of traditional storytelling with all the WOW factor of digital immersive technology.
Created and performed by award-winning storyteller Vicky McFarland, each show blends traditional tales, mythic themes, and wellbeing elements with cutting-edge digital projection.

Our Three Shows

Age 4 - 6 / Foundation Stage
A gentle tale of friendship and wellbeing. Heathcliffe the hedgehog is having a wobbly day. With help from his friend Wilbur the warthog, he learns how to find calm and reconnect with himself.

Age 5 - 7 /
KEY STAGE 1
Inspired by a Cheyenne myth, this is the story of the last Wolf in Ireland, who dances with the stars — and falls to pieces. Children help Wolfie find his soul song and put himself back together in a joyful, interactive journey through Irish landscapes.
Duration: 10–13 minutes
Runs every 30 mins

Age 8 -12 /
KEY STAGE 2
A classic Eastern European fairy tale with a thrilling twist. Brother and sister must complete three impossible tasks to escape the witch Baba Yaga — with help from strange new friends and their own inner courage.
Duration: 15–17 minutes
Best for KS2 pupils or mixed-age family groups
Rich in myth, resilience and co-creation

The Story Dome was developed in collaboration with Ulster University's gaming, multimedia and animation departments and funded through Future Screens and the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
