BBC TEACH Explain This Series
Here are a few of the KS2 Geography and Technology scripts I wrote in their finished format:
BBC Teach - Get Creative Series
I worked as a Education consultant on this series of four films about Creative Writing for BBC Teach. You can watch the films here.
From 2016 - 2018 I wrote over seventy-six stories for Onebillion's open source stories project. My role was to write audio stories for a global audience of children, to allow them to access and enjoy world stories and folktales in their own language. I researched and reworked the stories, providing scripts which were then translated into local dialects and recorded for the children to access through their tablets.
You can read some of these stories here.
In 2017 Vicky won the National Literacy Trust's short story prize for reimagined fairy tales with her story 'The Giant's Child.' Which was published by Bloomsbury in an anthology: Once Upon A Fairytale: The Stories You Were Never Told
This book grew out of some workshops I facilitated with pre-school children for the Queen's Jubilee. The project involved encouraging children to ask questions about the queen. From this pictures were drawn of their questions and then I was asked to make those questions into a book. The result is 'When the Queen Came' which is available in digital form here and hard copy from Causeway Coast and Glens Museums.
